His songs evoke a sense of place and its people, and the\ connection between them. His concerts combine an affection for natural beauty and a concern about current issues. His topical songs are sly and biting, helping audiences to laugh at our collective foibles as human beings. This summer, when my sister returned from DNR camp, she spoke enthusiastically of your music and stories. She ordered a tape from you and as soon as she received it she played it for our famiy. From then on I have loved your music. What I find very interesting is that almost all of your songs have a story behind them, giving them more meaning than just the words in the music. In the song Acid Rain you express comically the problems that could occur because of acid rain, but you also give a serious side which left me with the feeling that it truly isnt a laughing matter. Your songs left me with such a good feeling inside, making me think about the good and the bad that is happening around me. My sister says you often go to schools to perform.
